A PROUD MOMENT at the Palm Springs Air Museum.
The Palm Springs Air Museum Pipe Band
were honored to pipe in
John Albert Commerford
Canadian Armed Forces, WWII Vet
Major Retired
A Canadian Army veteran who visited us at the Museum’s continuing celebrations of the 75th Anniversary of the landings at D-Day. John landed at Juno Beach with a Heavy Artillery Regiment in the Canadian sector and fought through the Allied breakout at Caen all the way to the end of WWII where he was in Hamburg Germany. A career Private throughout WWII, he became a Lieutenant during the Korean War and in his own words became "A liar..... a lawyer, a lawyer is what I meant to say..." Quite a character it was a pleasure meeting him.
To see and hear John Albert Commerford speak about his experience!

SKYHAWKS
The SkyHawks, The Canadian Armed Forces Parachute Team, soared from the sky to land right in front of the ramp here at the Palm Springs Air Museum
Canada’s only military parachute demonstration team. For over 40 years, they have represented Canada and the Canadian Armed Forces to over 75 million spectators worldwide under their signature Canadian flag parachutes.
Bringing their parachutes in close proximity to build formations in the sky, the team put on a spectacular show at the
Air Museum Canadian Military Tribute Day.
