The Palm Springs Air Museum Pipe Band is a very unique hybrid entity. We owe our existence to the myriad of Snowbirds who flock to the Coachella Valley to escape the winters of the "Great White North". Our core element of 6-8 bandsmen gets augmented to 25- 45 bandsmen in any given year. Unlike conventional bands we stand down in the summer months but seriously "Skirl Away" during the winter months. As well there is a compliment of Gaelic Musicians who join our ranks or we theirs from time to time. This page's intent is to recognize the Hometown Band of those Pipers & Drummers and other musicians who grace us with their musical abilities every year.

Rose Bowl

The 2023 Rose Parade included the Pipes on Parade: The Massed Pipes & Drums composite pipe band, performed on December 30, 2023, at the 43rd Annual Pasadena Tournament of Roses Bandfest. The band is made up of 10 Southern California bands, including the Palm Springs Air Museum Pipe Band, Pasadena Scots, Los Angeles Scots, Rancho Cucamonga Fire Pipes & Drums, and the University of California Riverside Pipes & Drums. It also includes a band of individuals who aren't currently members of an active band.

The parade included Joel Daniels, Maureen (Mo) Soichuk and Graham Bailey of the PSAMPB, who marched with 54 other bagpipers as part of the Pipes on Parade entry. The entry also featured Celtic dancers and drummers from across the United States.

Friend of the Band Extraordinaire

The Nicholson's July 2021, supporting the Music Man in celebration of and at the City of Westminster's Rose Theater for their 15th Anniversary which coincided with the 40th Anniversary of the founding of the Nicholson Pipes and Drums. Of note it was also the birthday of its fearless leader Malcolm Willis.

The Nicholson Pipes and Drums band was founded in 1981 by Pipe Major Kathleen Nicholson Graham. The band was named in honor of her father, Pipe Major Malcolm Nicholson, by her bagpipe students who wanted to carry on his legacy. PSAMPB regrets the recent loss of the founder of the Nicholson Pipes and Drums, Pipe Major Kathleen Nicholson Graham who passed away on August 30, 2012.  Pipe Major Robert Hackney and her son, Drum Sergeant Malcolm Willis carry on the band's positive winning legacy.
